Vinita Nair
She joined ABC News in July 2004, and has since covered many subjects, including the Jon Benet Ramsey investigation, as well as school shootings in Bailey, Colorado. Nair was hired by ABC News as an anchor/correspondent for ABC News Now in December 2007. As part of her role as a correspondent, she provided live reporting and briefings to ABC's network. Nair anchors World News Now on ABC starting on September 17, 2008. until February 18, 2011 and America This Morning. For both of the shows, Nair was initially paired alongside Jeremy Hubbard. Later she was paired with Rob Nelson. Nair revealed on Thursday, 17th February 2011, that her last night broadcasting at World News Now would be the 18th of February, Friday. Nair also announced that Friday would be one final day of work for ABC News. The former KDVR Denver anchor Peggy Bunker was her successor immediately. The issue of February 18 on World News Now paid tribute to Nair during each of its three segments. The show also included appearances from former and present colleagues, including Jeremy Hubbard. The crew was treated to an excellent breakfast at the end of her day.
